This picture pretty much sums up how the week went. Lots of crying, lots of defiance, and lots of frustration. Despite cutting out half the food pyramid from my diet, Cora still has fits of screaming, so I’m not convinced she has an allergy. I am however, toying with the idea that she’s a demon child who can’t stand the goodness of God’s green Earth. (just kidding… sorta.)
Sophie has regressed with her potty training which provided me with an extra stressor this week. In fact, one day J came home to find all 3 of us crying on the couch. In an attempt to turn things around, I had my aunt come watch the girls for a couple hours so I could go out. I came home to find her in a situation reminiscent of the one J had witnessed earlier in the week. Though, I was glad to know it isn’t just me that they’re naughty for.
We did eventually turn it around as I painted Sophie’s toes while she went potty, then got a pedicure myself that evening, and finally, Cora slept through the night.
Now we are all getting to take our spring break as we head down to Florida tomorrow, and I am so relieved to get some sunshine and pool time. I have to confess, I’m a littler nervous about traveling with 2 babies for the first time, but I’m praying all goes well because I know it will be worth it when I see them having fun together in the sunshine state.
Have a great weekend everyone!
